Making a Six-Figure Income as a Musician

six-figure-income-as-a-musician

The secret to earning a high income as a musician lies in everything you do…and I mean everything. Let’s face it, the six figure incomes for musicians are pretty hard to come by. Don’t get me wrong, they are out there…but not everyone is going to get that gig. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a solid career earning a six figure income as a musician. You just need to be creative and since I know you are all creative types, this shouldn’t be a problem.

The key is not choosing one gig and being the best at it hoping and praying that you are recognized and rewarded for your abilities. Putting all of your eggs in one basket is never a good idea in any profession, including this one. Automatic Yes

I have a question for you.  What are you willing to do to become a successful musician?  Anything, right?  We all say that we’ll do just about anything within the confines of the law (and sometimes a teensy weensy bit outside) to succeed and yet some of us are successful and some of us are [...]

How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?

I’m sure you have heard the old joke: “How do you get to Carnegie Hall?  Practice, practice, practice.” Well, I know an awful lot of musicians that practice, practice, practice and they are still starving, starving, starving. All of a sudden that joke doesn’t seem so funny anymore, does it? Any good musician loves to [...]

Practice Makes What?

We’ve all heard the expression “practice makes perfect”, but is that really true? What happens if you practice something over and over again but you practice it wrong? Still perfect? I don’t think so. Now you are off to unlearn something which is actually harder than learning it right in the first place. I’m sorry, [...]
